Multiple slow drains
One slow sink is a local clog. Two or more slow fixtures means the problem is in the main line, downstream of everything.
Gurgling toilet when the sink drains
Air pulled through the trap — a classic early sign of a partial main line blockage or a blocked vent stack.
Water at the floor drain
The lowest opening in the house is where a blocked main backs up first. Stop using water and call.
Sewage smell indoors
A dry trap, a failed wax seal or a cracked drain line. All three are findable in one visit with a camera.
Clogs that keep coming back
Repeat clogs mean a physical defect: root intrusion, a belly in the pipe or a collapsed section. Snaking it again will not fix that.
Backups after heavy rain
Storm water overwhelming the sanitary line. This is exactly what a backwater valve prevents.

The cheapest outcome for you is knowing what is actually in the pipe before anyone starts charging. That is why we scope first on any main-line job.
- Camera inspection down the cleanout, recorded, blockage located to the metre.
- Right tool for the blockage. Cable machine for soft clogs, hydro-jetting for grease and scale, a root cutter for roots.
- Hydro-jetting at 4,000 PSI scours the pipe wall clean instead of punching a hole through the clog.
- Post-clear camera pass so you see bare pipe wall, not just take our word for it.
- Written condition report with the footage — useful for a sale, an insurer or a landlord dispute.

Common questions
Is hydro-jetting safe for old pipes?
In sound cast iron and clay, yes — we match pressure to the pipe material and age. If the camera shows the line is cracked or badly scaled we will say jetting is the wrong call and quote the repair instead.
Why do my roots keep coming back?
Roots re-enter at the same joint or crack. Cutting buys one to three years; lining or replacing that section is the permanent fix. We show you the defect on camera so you can decide.
Do chemical drain cleaners work?
They dissolve hair and light grease in a sink trap. In a main line they mostly sit on top of the blockage and damage the pipe. Tell us if you have poured some in.
Who owns the sewer lateral in Toronto?
The homeowner is responsible for the line from the house to the property line, and often beyond. The City handles the main under the street. We identify which side the defect is on before you spend anything.
Drain backing up?
Stop running water through the house and call. We will tell you on the phone whether it is safe to wait until morning.
